Profile · “About me”
I studied graphic design before moving into software. I’m a design engineer and full-stack developer from Slovakia, now based in Prague. I’m curious about a lot beyond software, and I like bringing that wider perspective to the problems I work on. I’m drawn to projects that push me beyond what I already know. I like to understand a problem properly before I commit to it, and I care about how software is built and how it feels to use.
Skills
Most of my work is in TypeScript. I usually reach for React, though I’m comfortable with other modern frameworks too. I’ve built SPAs, worked with server-side rendering (SSR) and static-site generation (SSG), and written type-safe APIs. Frontend is my home ground, where I can move freely. On the backend I build and ship real work, but I’m still deliberate about the patterns and practices I take on. I pick a library when it’s the right call rather than by default. I’ve used the heavier ones (Redux, Recoil, urql) and moved on where something lighter fit better.
- I work closely with designers to bring ideas into the product.
- I’m comfortable owning complex or ambiguous work and contributing to team decisions.
- I’ve built internal tools and packages to improve developer experience.
- I write end-to-end tests with Playwright.
- I maintain and extend existing codebases, including legacy systems (Java, Kotlin, Ruby).
- I use AI in my day-to-day workflow when useful, including agent skills and MCP servers.

Experience
Full-stack developer · Freelance
Sep 2025 - present
- Take ownership from understanding a client’s needs to deployment, choosing an approach that fits and carrying the engineering through.
- Build full-stack TypeScript products across SaaS, e-commerce, and brand sites, using React, Medusa, Shopify, Astro, Bun, and Node.js.
- Connect commerce workflows from product catalogs, search, and pricing through checkout, payments, orders, and staff tools.
- Build customer and staff experiences around operational data, including inventory workflows, readable data views, and mobile-first or PWA features.
Frontend developer · Innovatrics
Sep 2022 - Aug 2025
I worked on the frontend of identity and biometric systems, across a React SPA and server-rendered parts, in a team of around 10 people. The work ranged from complex data workflows to image editing.
- Contributed to modernizing the frontend stack, including moving Redux state to Redux Toolkit and introducing TanStack Query.
- Worked with the team on data-heavy table and filtering workflows, and on an image editor using Canvas, SVG, and client-side image manipulation.
- Migrated older standalone applications into the new ecosystem, removing duplicated setup and speeding up future development.
- Built a Vite plugin that routes OAuth through a proxy, speeding up local development and test runs.
- Wrote end-to-end tests and worked with design and backend on API and UX decisions.
- Shaped Storybook conventions and mentored a junior teammate.
Projects
KURA
2025 - present
Inventory management for small teams, co-founded with a designer - I’m the sole engineer. It’s a simple app and the best way to understand it is to try it.
Digitálne menu
2021 - 2022
A web app for restaurants, bars, and cafés where customers could browse the menu and order from their phones. Staff received orders in real time, while the restaurant managed its tables in a separate app. It brought those three experiences together.
